A condition of membership of the Alliance of Celebrants Queensland Inc. (ACQ) is to agree to the Code of Ethics along with the official Code of Practice (attached).
I am committed to observing the professional standards and ethical behaviour as set out by ACQ, and I acknowledge that when acting in the capacity as a member of ACQ, I shall adhere to the standards and guidelines set out in this Code. I shall:
- Respect the rights of all stakeholders involved with ACQ, treating all individuals equitably regardless of gender, age, religion or cultural background.
- Ensure that any activity conducted by me in the course of my membership with ACQ will be discharged with honesty and integrity.
- Conduct myself in a professional manner, acknowledging that my actions should not compromise or call into question the professionalism of ACQ.
- Commit to ACQ and operate within its framework and, when working with other members, encourage the same commitment.
- Never speak publicly about ACQ, its members or other stakeholders unless endorsed to do so by ACQ or have any facts presented verified by ACQ.
- Be responsible for my own actions as a professional member of ACQ.
- Not act or agree to act in any capacity that is in direct conflict with the interests of ACQ or which may be seen as to be prejudicial to ACQ and its operation.
- Not engage in, or knowingly become a party to any undertaking or activity that would be considered illegal, unprofessional or unethical.
- Not use any confidential information gained as a Member of ACQ either for my personal gain, or to compromise the reputation of ACQ.
