The Alliance of Celebrants Queensland Inc. (ACQ) is Queensland’s largest membership based association of celebrants who conduct a variety of ceremonies including marriages, baby namings, renewal of vows, commitment ceremonies, milestone events and funerals.
Congratulations to all our lovely couples who are recently engaged and embarking on a very exciting and special time of their lives. Our members are committed to providing the highest level of service to all couples and families in creating memorable ceremonies whilst respecting cultural differences, family traditions and values. Our celebrants are also dedicated to completing annual Ongoing Professional Development and upholding the Code of Practice which states that “a marriage celebrant must recognise the social, cultural and legal significance of marriage and the marriage ceremony in the Australian community, and the importance of strong and respectful family relationships.”
The Alliance of Celebrants Queensland Inc. actively encourages all couples to choose a celebrant from a professional organisation such as ours. Our Alliance is a member of the Coalition of Celebrant Associations (CoCA) who meet twice yearly in Canberra, formerly recognised by the Attorney-General’s Department Marriage Law and Celebrant Section. Our Vice President is also currently the Vice Chair of CoCA so you can be assured your organisation members are well informed and up to date with any changes to the law.
